Abstract


Najm Al-Dîn Al-Kubrâ’s Risala-i Safina And It’s Commentary Titled Tesviyetu’l-Imad
The Risala-i Safina/The Treatise of Ship is a work of Sheikh Najm al-Din al-Kubra (d. 618/1221) who is the founder of the Kubrawiyya Sufi Order. This concise treatise consists of very important and special knowledge on sharia/ Islamic canon law, tarika/the sufi order and hakîka/the reality. It’s commentary named Tesviyetu’l-Imad/ Making The Pillars Equal was written by al-Hâc Muhammad Amin Efendi (d. ?), who is one of the adherents of the Nakshbandiyya Sufi Order in the last period of Ottoman Empire. In this article, after a brief evaluation on these two works, the text, translation and commentary of the treatise in question will be presented.
