The concept of “al-Din” in Fusus al- Hikam
İbn Arabi investigates the term “ad-din” (religion) in his book Fusus. He devides religion into “Religion According to Allah” and “Religion According to People”. The first is teached by Allah through prophets and the second is judgements on wisdom. The validitiy of second depedns on its aim, ie the unity of aim with first. Then, the meaning of religion is obedience, response and repetition (custom). In apperance, the human being is subject of these meanigns. In fact Hakk (Truth) is subject of these meanings. İbn Arabi wants to save human’s freedom in his doctrin.
